I too am a bit worried that property anarchists spend too much time arguing with each other about minutia and splitting into sub-factions. Clearly we need to constantly exercise our powers of reason, but it seems the real work that needs to be done is not in splitting hairs, but popularizing property rights anarchism.

Have you seen the "philosophy of liberty" flash animation? I have 3 friends tell me that this video was a major turning point for them. Perhaps we could commission some "scripts" and have them made into explanitory flash animations or some other video genre. It'd be great for the cause of liberty.

FSK, I think you are reading my post wrong. I don't say you have to be against property rights to be anarchist. I'm also not saying anarchists cannot moderate their forums. What I say is that a lot of anarchists are explicitly [and dogmatically] against property in any form, which makes it hypocritical to at the same time treat a forum or web site as if it was private property. One cannot claim to be against something and then use and benefit from that very same thing the next minute.

Why do you have to be against property rights if you're an anarchist?

The problem is not property rights. The problem is that government should not have a monopoly on enforcing property rights. Due to a corrupt monetary system, most property in the present is actually stolen property.

Private property was a great invention. Government was a bad invention.

If you take the attitude that someone's blog or internet forum is their property, they can do whatever they want there. If the forum moderators are being rude, then start your own blog, forum, or website.
